GoRoad is a mobile app focused on the end user, with fast but clear navigation. Developed in Flutter with the UI based on Google's Material design system.
The goal for this project was to overhaul the existing GoRoad mobile app, to craft a clear, intuitive experience for truck drivers managing loads on the move. The focus was simplicity, speed, and clarity under time-sensitive conditions.
Because the app is built in Flutter using Google’s Material Design system, the technology stack played a crucial role in shaping design decisions. We aligned UI patterns with Material principles to ensure consistency, performance, and familiarity—while carefully adapting components to suit the realities of drivers in motion.
UX activities were centred around reducing cognitive load, making load statuses clear, and ensuring drivers could update progress in just a few taps.
The GoRoad mobile app transformed a traditionally complex operational workflow into a streamlined driver experience. Loads are clearly segmented, statuses are instantly recognisable, and updates can be completed quickly without distraction.
